Last night was a lovely night out. [livejournal.com profile] choose_again, [livejournal.com profile] lediva, [livejournal.com profile] tacotortoise, [livejournal.com profile] rigel, [livejournal.com profile] bleemoo and I all went out to see Hot Fuzz, then came home and watched Spaced and Green Wing until we were all giggly and loopy from non-sleep. Huzzah.

Hot Fuzz was, as everyone said, awesome. Without giving anything away, Pegg and Wright are very good at taking your basic action movie premises and then distorting/exhaggerating them in ways that appeal even more to the geeky audience.

In other news, found out that one of my best friends from college and his wife are expecting a baby. Not a month ago, a former co-worker of mine changed his AIM icon to a pic of his new-born son. Wow. It's happening. My peers are beginning to reproduce. I am ecstatic for them and can't wait to see what kind of amazingly cool spawn they come up with. Note to [livejournal.com profile] heiligekuh: now would be a good time to start journaling again, for the benefit of those who no longer share a coast with you, beeyatch

Finally, on a completely unrelated note, some NPR-related humor I feel compelled to pass along (the first of which was recommended by [livejournal.com profile] lediva, I think)...

- This American Life Completes Documentation Of Liberal, Upper-Middle-Class Existence
- Corey Flintoff Unleashes Sonorous, Pleasantly Modulated String Of Obscenities

Ah, NPR and The Onion: two great tastes that taste great together. =:)
Ok, so school has sadly conspired to prevent [livejournal.com profile] karendy from joining us. This is unfortuante, but it does simplify transportation somewhat as we can just see it here in Camberville now.

How about 7pm at the Kendall Sq Cinema?

Anyone?
