choose_again, lediva, tacotortoise, rigel, bleemoo and I all went out to see Hot Fuzz, then came home and watched Spaced and Green Wing until we were all giggly and loopy from non-sleep. Huzzah.
Hot Fuzz was, as everyone said, awesome. Without giving anything away, Pegg and Wright are very good at taking your basic action movie premises and then distorting/exhaggerating them in ways that appeal even more to the geeky audience.
In other news, found out that one of my best friends from college and his wife are expecting a baby. Not a month ago, a former co-worker of mine changed his AIM icon to a pic of his new-born son. Wow. It's happening. My peers are beginning to reproduce. I am ecstatic for them and can't wait to see what kind of amazingly cool spawn they come up with. Note toheiligekuh: now would be a good time to start journaling again, for the benefit of those who no longer share a coast with you, beeyatch
Finally, on a completely unrelated note, some NPR-related humor I feel compelled to pass along (the first of which was recommended bylediva, I think)...
