You know one of those apps that puts up a good front, provides you an interface and seems to work ok for basic functionality, but then dumps core whenever its given anything non-trivial to do?

My brain is like that today.

Actually, to make the analogy more dense but also more accurate, it doesn't dump core, it just throws an exception. Fortunately, they all get caught. Unfortunately the default handler seems to be oooh_look_a_webpage().

Grr.. I have too much crap to do today to have to deal with this. =:(

I was just saying last night how my brain is like a harddrive -

I can install pretty much anything on it but for a finite amount of time and with limited space. Once I stop using said "software", it slowly gets allocated to be overwritten with new data.

A reinstall would quickly restore said software provided I can find the same Web sites, email, books, audio, or people who composed the original knowledge transfer.

Unfortunately, valuable software gets overwritten over the time by crappy Web...

Oooh! LOLGrues!

*hugs*

(. . . is it bad that the analogy -- especially the oooh_look_a_webpage handler -- made me giggle?)

I hear you. There's a bug going around with about that effect. (And sleeping a lot -- I was down for 16 hours last night.) "We've replaced Kevin's brain with a very small shell script -- let's see if he notices!" (Something like "while (1) { ooh_look_a_web_page(); }", apparently.)
