Jan. 9th, 2006 03:47 pmEvery now and then one comes across something one simply has to share...
So, I finally got around to using scummvm to play the copy of Day of the Tentacle (an old LucasArts game, for those of you who were deprived of a proper childhood) that
heiligekuh gave me. The copy I had as a kid always bombed out shortly into the game due to a CD defect or something, so I never got to play very far.
Anyway, early on one of the characters you play gets sent back in time to the inn where the constitution is being drafted. When you talk to John Hancock, you have the opportunity to ask why he signs his name so largely, to which he responds "astygmatism". Note your third dialogue option in response:

*snerk*.
Sorry, I just had to share.

Date: 2006-01-10 01:19 am (UTC)I wish I still had a copy of Day of the Tentacle. And that I could find my copy of the Kyrandia games. Then I would be a very happy (and nostalgic) person.
I owned every LucasArts game, back in the day, and they're still my favorites. *happy sigh of Monkey Island*
