In my opnion, Space: Above and Beyond is one of the most under-rated sci-fi shows ever to grace our television screens. I watched it when it was first on in the mid-90s and then got [livejournal.com profile] glacierslug into it when it came out on DVD (he's since become an even bigger fanboy than me).

Anyway, if anyone else out there is curious for more information, [livejournal.com profile] glacierslug found this interview with the producers, which is really interesting. It's also laden with spoilers, though, so I think I'm going to hold off finishing it until I've re-watched the finale.

I was briefly excited when they talked about how they'd love to continue the series on the Sci Fi Channel or make a movie or something, but then I noticed that the interview is from '98, so... yeah. Probably not going to happen, and anyway, without re-casting it there's no way it could be plausible unless they had the war dragging on for 10+ years and the main cast all still alive and serving... which would be interesting if they could make it make sense.

Anyway, probably not going to happen, but a bit of extra info on yet another excellent show that died long before its time. Did I mention it was on FOX? *Shakes fist at FOX*
