Kneel before ZOD! No, the other ZOD!
Jun. 26th, 2009 10:07 pmWhoa, nostalgia attack!
During several of my elementary school years, the school participated in young authors' contests wherein each student was required to write a short story. If I may take a moment to revel in glory days long-past, I did quite well in these. Indeed, I could truthfully call myself a "multi-award-winning author"... and should totally be milking that more, now I think about it, but I digress.
Anyway, I started packing up books for the move tonight and what did I find but all three of my YA entries from 1st, 4th and 6th grades. I'd been meaning to scan these just-in-case and, having just finished digitizing my entry from the first-grade, I find myself further compelled to share.
And so, I give you... Zod.
No, not that Zod, this Zod. The product of a simpler, if almost disturbingly violent, time when defeating villains was apparently a matter of figuring out what they were allergic to. Also, proof that I have been a geek for a very, very long time (thanks, Mom!).
