My old enemy, the weekend.

usernamenumberThere are days when every fiber of my being longs passionately to do something... only I don't know what it is. Sometimes there's just this need to create, to have an effect on things somehow, I just don't know how to do that.
I skipped the end of summer party 'cause I needed sleep, and I'm mostly-glad I did, as I ended up getting 11ish hours of much-needed rest, but now I'm kind of itching for.. well, again, part of the problem is that I don't know what. It hadn't occurred to me that if I'd gone to the party and brought my drum, I could maybe have played with the fire spinners. That realization bummed me out some.
I'm sure all this stuff is indicative of something Big. Despite thinking of myself as fairly mellow, things like "frenetic", "workaholic", and "running on fumes" have been used to describe me because I have a very had time dealing with the notion of not doing something, even if it's just hanging out with people, so days like this when I've got no immediate project or activity are difficult (I'm intentionally ignoring Red Hat work for a bit, and technical issues are making progress on Second Shift frustratingly difficult).
If anyone happens to know of any drum circles or something like that going on today or tomorrow, let me know. I think I'd dearly love to go bang on things with a throng of people right now. In the mean-time, working on some t-shirt designs I've had in the back of my head for ages, so that's something, at least.
...though I did just find a live recording of Amanda Palmer doing a duet version of Icarus with Jason Webley in Moscow. Whoa. That's day-making material right there.

I totally wrote down some of our tiffs for the GMs in my post-event-letter thing. I also told Ken he was "such a dick BUT I LOVE YOU FOR IT." That will probably make him happy.
