It's got less to do with specific issues I have with LJ/SUP policies and practices (though I do have them) than to counter some statements made by certail LJ top brass suggesting that the protest that's been suggested doesn't mean anything because numbers can be inflated with fake accounts (my account's paid and has been for years) and amounts to a bunch of whiners. LJ is a social site. SUP's an independent company and as such can do as they please, but I want to help make the point that if they don't dialog with their users or otherwise disenfranchise us, we as users contribute as much or more to LJ being what it is than the company that runs the servers.
