Saturday, 2pm: Metropolis at the Brattle

Metropolis is playing at the Brattle with the original score!

After having heard about it for years, I found a copy of this in the UCSC media lab when I was in college and remember being absolutely blown away. It was made in 1927, before movies even had sound, and yet I found myself amazed at the effects, unable to figure out how they even did some of them.

I'm really excited about this, and only found out about it when I happened to see a poster in Harvard Square. I'm planning on the 2pm showing on Saturday. If anyone's interested and can't make that one, it's also showing tonight at 8 and Sat at 2, 4:30 and 7, though I most likely can't make those. Check http://www.brattlefilm.com for more info.

Well, I am now apparently doing the same thing as you, playing at RPI and then GMing Brandeis. In addition, it seems you will be staying at my place. So we should discuss possibility of carpooling and such....
