For anyone who is not subscribed to [livejournal.com profile] secondshift but might be interested in checking out or just supporting Second Shift, our limited run of promotional CDs are now ready for shipment! And what's more, they look fantastic thanks to [livejournal.com profile] waterlilly27 (aka Katherine), who did all of the design!

This is just an initial run to raise some money for the show and test the waters to see whether people might buy a complete Season One set if we were to make one. The three-disk set includes episodes 1-5 and includes extras like PDFs of both the first draft (v1.0) and final draft (v7.4) scripts for the pilot episode so you can see how much changed between conception and the final product.

And the cost? Twelve freakin dollars! And it goes to a good cause, so if you or someone you know might be into the show, but don't have a portable media player and want to be able to, say, listen to it in the car during your commute, head to the store and clicky click!

i just ordered myself an xmas present :-)

i also ordered an insiders code thingy, but it's far from happy. are you the right person to whine at about such things? either way, i'm gonna whine at you now, cuz i'm a real insider ;-)
here's a glimpse of what happens when i put in my code and click one of the download buttons:

this is in firefox 2.0 on a mac, but i wouldn't think that would make much difference with this particular error. help me, 2nd shift techie man! you're my only hope!

I think we've all learned a valuable lesson today about love, peace, the true meaning of Christmas and the ob_* output buffering functions in php.

The script worked fine when I first wrote it, but they must have changed something as it was indeed hosed for me as well this morning. Should be all fixed now. Thanks for the heads-up!

Thanks! It works fine now at http://www.secondshiftpodcast.com/memberdl.php, which is what the store page links to. However, the order confirmation email links to http://secondshiftpodcast.com/insiders.php instead, which doesn't behave, just FYI. (I'm a pest!)
