Sitting in a markedly heterosexual bar tonight drinking a $5 coke and listening to a classic rock cover band from Mississippi. It's part of the ineffable magic of this town, I guess, that even after seeing the situation written down like that it still sounds like a good time. Oh, and free wifi. =:)

Another night I was gonna spend sitting down and blogging the past few days is no more. Damn, I think I'm starting to love New Orleans. Who needs to look up show listings? All you have to do is walk down the street and listen for what you like. I am so digging this. Going to try and write something useful now...

Man, this band is one of the tightest live acts I've seen in a long time. And damn fine musicians, too. This is a goood night.

edit: They just played Sweet Child 'O Mine. I thought of you, my ladi and sang along for both of us. =:)

Back at camp now, going to write until I drop, which may be before I get to post, but I'll try.
