Psst. You looking for a game to play on this fine day? Coupla recs:
1) The Swapper
I've written about it before, but it continues to be one of the best indie games and one of the best puzzle games I've ever played. The premise is cool, the puzzles are clever (and, to follow on my previous review, yes they get more difficult), and on top of all that, this game, this little indie puzzle game has had more of those moments that made me say "whoa..." out loud and feel a chill down my spine than almost any other game I can think of.

2) Shadowrun Returns
Do you like any of the following?
- Well-written, story-centric RPGs?
- Old School, top-down RPGs like Fallout 1-2, Nevewinter Nights, etc?
- Tactical combat games like Xcom?
- Games with extensive editing tools and an active community?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then check this out. I'll say up front that by modern standards it aint particularly pretty, and the point-and-clickiness of your interface with the world feels limiting (with the exception of combat, which is much deeper and feels more like Xcom). But this feels mitigated by the fact that none of this seems to be the game's focus. Here, the quality of the experience lives or dies by the quality of the story, and so far the module it comes with is a pretty solid cyberpunk murder mystery.
The product here is not the game so much as the platform for creating interactive stories, which comes with a full editor and an active community of people generating their own content. Come to think of it, I wonder whether any of my IF friends would find the platform intriguing (Caelyn Sandel, Carolyn VanEseltine?). If I had the time to put into it (ha!), I'd try firing up the editor myself, but even without that, what I've played so far of the built-in module has me looking forward to seeing what other people do with it.
