Does anyone out there have contacts with a company or individual that has expertise in all three of games, education, and Linux? Tunapanda.org, the non-profit with which I've been working, has expressed an interest in "gamifying" some of our classroom activities, but that's outside both my realm of experience and the amount of time I can spare.
Valve is running an amazing looking program called Learning with Portals (http://www.learnwithportals.com/), which you math/science teacher types should check out regardless, so an actual-person contact there would be a-mazing, but really any person or company that might be willing and able to volunteer expertise or software for game-based learning in a Linux environment would be a welcome lead!
