You know, sometimes I think about getting older and I'm tempted to do the thing we're all trained to do: to stress out and worry about lost youth and all that. Then I remember that Dick Lucas and the rest of the SubHumAns, despite the band having been formed when I was two, are /still/ out there kicking the asses of bands literally half their age. I've seen them live three times in the last sevenish years and they've been amazing every time.

I know old school punk isn't all of y'all's thing, but man, too many memories of teeny!Brad banging away on his drums while yelling out the lyrics to this song* for me not to share.

* the mellowness of age does move to express a heartfelt thanks to my parents for putting up with this, at least.

Good song. Not familiar before, but definitely from the school of melodic punk. Can't abide people who think punk is just all noise. Especially like the controlled feedback that happens at 2:20.

Subvert City is a classic though, to be fair, almost certainly the closest this band comes to "melodic". :)
