...and I'd expect that lower median rent would correlate with lower median intent. Probably not very linearly because people may end up living at higher occupancy rates rather than paying less rent. I hope this isn't me showing insensitivity about a class issue, but I just thought I'd mention it as a possible input for a tricky housing search. I really wanted to find rent by census tract, but even though it seems like that should be possible, nobody seems to have made it happen yet. The reason I think it should be possible is that it was done for the Bay Area:
