Oh! Why have I not asked The Internet about this yet?

Next week I will be in Las Vegas for work. What should I do?

(note: according to a recent UN resolution, "hookers and blow" is no longer considered an original answer to this question)

I've never been, but I'm told this is one of the cooler things in Vegas that isn't hookers and/or blow.

I've been wanting to go there for a long time. They have The Pinball Circus, a four-level playfield of which only a tiny number (4?) were ever made.

Penn & Teller!

[Ooh. That's expensive. Probably still worth it.]

Cirque! I recommend Love, but any of the shows are worth seeing. And if you like food, splurge on a good dinner somewhere.

Starlight Express. Absolutely, no questions. I have been tempted to go there just for that purpose.

(Well, and I've been told there are lots of sequins and feathers and stuff that would be all shiny and pretty too, but mostly Starlight Express.)

Aww man, I saw that when I was a kid, when it first came to San Francisco.

...and now I've got what little I remember of it stuck in my head. Thanks. :P

In order of importance:

1) Valley of Fire
2) Penn & Teller
3) Buffet at the Bellagio
4) Hoover Dam

The Valley of Fire and the Hoover Dam require the use of a car, but they're more than worth it. If you have time (and they have space), the Valley of Fire has camping.
