I have a new favorite game, and it is all [livejournal.com profile] lediva's fault (apparently via [livejournal.com profile] mangosteen, shocking no one):

*ahem*

You see, much of today's IT infrastructure relies on clown computing, but few fully understand it: What happens to your data when it enters the clown? What are the security implications of clown storage? How quickly can a clown outage be addressed? Knowing how to answer these questions is essential to being able to leverage the power of the clown.

...I could seriously do this all night.

Update: The Facebook version of this thread is already becoming an authoritative resource on this important subject.

New Clown services make it possible to comprehensively test mobile apps—before bad things happen.

Test Lab Automation - In the Clown

Setting up an on-premise test lab environment is time consuming and costly. Now with the advent of Clown computing, you can simplify test lab setup and transform your test lab into a more robust, standardized, repeatable environment. Learn how to maximize the promise of the Clown by automating key elements of provisioning, maintaining, and scaling test environments to accelerate application development.

In this whitepaper sponsored by IBM Rational, you will learn:
• Ways to leverage the Clown for test labs
• Ways to deploy from the Clown
• Ways that three test teams use Clown computing for their real-world test environments

Clown computing is such a fad. I think the most disruptive thing in the tech world right now is distributed virgin control.

(well, so says Clay Shirky)

I hate you as much as I fear where playing the "virgin control" equivalent of this game could go and want to do it anyway.

Which is to say, I hate you a lot. <3! :P
