Anyone know of announcement lists for local lectures?

Hey Harvard/MIT types, whenever I'm on campus, I see lots of fliers for really interesting looking lectures, and I would like to go to more of these. Are there mailing lists that announce these sorts of things, so I can keep abreast of what's happening more easily?

I don't know of any mailing lists for general lectures. I'm on a few department-of-CS mailing lists for some local U's where I took classes. You could try dropping department secretaries email and asking.

I also note that Googling "mit lecture series" gets you a bunch of different listings that might be useful.

Some of them are listed at events.mit.edu. People tend to be on specific mailing lists for particular programs, like energy, etc. I try not to duplicate those by sending out tons of event listings that people probably already know about, but inevitably I do end up sending some out.

AFAIK, there are mailing lists for departments and for particular institutes/venues but no general mailing list I'm aware of for Harvard.

I get my notifications from a Harvard employee list so I've never had to think about getting them as a non-employee. I'll keep an eye out for you though.
