I was in an initial read/singthrough (the source of one of my favorite performance photos of me ever) and I've gotta say, student production or no, it's a fine, fine show and accessible to non-MIT people. Hack, Punt, Tool is an original musical written by current MIT students and recent alums about a group of MIT students who are working together to build a hack. The story follows the adventures of a freshman, Billy Rogers, who wants to become a hacker so he can be hardk0re. As the campus police, romantic entanglements, and old misunderstandings challenge the success of the hack, the hackers learn to trust in their friends and discover what's really important about life at MIT.
