...I really don't think "The Program Manager", wearing his trademark unremarkable winter jacket and yelling "losenge!" on his way into danger would be particularly compelling. [livejournal.com profile] hahathor would make a pretty badass DW companion, though.

...Oooh, though it just occurred to me that Ted from HIMYM could fare a lot better: "The Architect", in red cowboy boots, repeating "bowl" to himself at random, and having adventures with Barney and/or Robin. That I would watch.

In other news, didn't sleep well last night. Brain currently on "shuffle".

* = On the off chance than anyone actually hasn't been exposed to this: Your job is now your Time Lord name. The last digit of your phone number is the current regeneration you are in. The nearest clothing item to your right is now the most notable item in your current wardrobe. The last person you texted is your current companion. Your favorite word is now your catchphrase.

OK, a Doctor running around in a binary slanket totally needs to happen.

bwahahaha, this is amazingly ridiculous and I want to see it. :D

Way better than my fairly innocuous winter wool coat, and I can't imagine dragging my poor college roommate who's just had a child a couple months ago on various travels in time and space. Companions just wouldn't do well with commitments like that, I'd think.

I am flattered and honored sir, and would follow you (and your trademark nondescript outerwear) anywhere.

I really don't want my father for a companion. >.<

I've always wondered who the Time Lord "The Engineer" would be, though. "The Contractor" sounds like a hired assassin. Prepending "software" to either of those just takes the fun out of it.

"Impugn"

Great word. Not much of a catchphrase.

I see it used like "j'accuse!" which actually is pretty fun. I dunno, I think you could get some good mileage out of it.

Oh lord. My Time Lord name "The Grad Student," in my fourth regeneration as a student (primary school, college, postgraduate, doctoral), wardrobe characterized by an oversized bookbag, muttering "teatime" to myself at random, Nick as my companion, and episodically visiting all sorts of crazy time periods like say especially 19th century America and Britain?

IT'S NOT A MEME, IT'S THE LITERAL TRUTH OF MY LIFE LIKE LITERALLY

Not sure if I wind up being "The Marine" or "The Sergeant" though I slightly prefer the latter. I'm in my fifth regeneration, with my trusty oversized olive-drab bath-towel I trvel time and space remarking that things are "outstanding!" with my companion Ms. Leslie Drescher.
