Upcoming performances
Jul. 7th, 2011 09:50 amIt is an unfortunate(ish) fact that the more bloggable stuff I have going on, the less time I have to blog about it. I'd love to have some QT with this journal sometime soon, but in the mean-time here's a quick summary of what I've got going on, in roughly chronological order:
- Next weekend (14th-16th), I have the pleasure and honor of playing one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite audio theater podcasts, Lt. Sabien in a re-creation of an episode of Decoder Ring Theater's Black Jack Justice noir detective series. It's one of three shows being put up as part of the Post-Meridian Radio Players' summer showcase, and also features
ayelle,
tomchampion, BrianM, and is directed by
preraphaelite. Details and ticket link here.
- Still hoping to have the final episode of Second Shift out by mid-late July. *crosses fingers*
- For those going or considering going to PiCon, the latest incarnation of Stranger Ways will be playing there (exact day/time TBD). This will be the debut of two new members (
sandrylene on flute/vocals, and JonS on guitar/bass), some new songs, and re-arrangments of the old songs. We're really looking forward to it! In addition, I've been asked to lead the drum circle. This means I need to figure out how the heck one leads a drum circle. *gulp*
- I'll be playing Touchstone in a free performance of As You Like It in Davis Square the weekend of Sept 8-11. Details here. After Midsummer, it's been Shakespeare-a-go-go in my theatrical life lately. Touchstone is a really fun role, but I remain intimidated by memorizing lines. He's got even more than Lysander, so I'm going to need to really buckle down and work at it consistently if I'm to have everything memorized in time. But if I can pull that off, I'm feeling pretty good about the role!
