hahathor will be starring in a dark comedy called "As Bees In Honey Drown" at the Arsenal center, right around the corner from BCOS. The only day I can make it is Friday, 8/20 at 8pm, which is, sadly, conflicting with PiCon (*sigh*-- as
faerieboots observed earlier today, I expand to fill the free time).
Also! Next Friday, 8/13. Scott Friggin Pilgrim. I am THERE. Are you?
Y'all know the drill. If you want to go together, maybe do the food thing beforehand, lemme know and I'll re-ping people closer to the date.

Date: 2010-08-05 11:55 am (UTC)Commonwealth Shakespeare Company is doing their free summer play on the Commons for the next few weeks. It's Othello this year, and it's amazing. The show is great overall, but the guy they've got playing Iago... I don't know if you can say he steals the show (because it's handed to him on a silver platter), but he's toe-curlingly, spine-shiveringly, want-to-take-a-bath-in-hand-sanitizer-after-each-monologue amazing.
Seriously, if you can eke out a free evening, go see it. :)

Date: 2010-08-05 01:36 pm (UTC)Random side-note, the RSC once did a video production of Othello with David "Hercule Poirot" Suchet as Iago. Only meaningful if you've ever seen the old HP mysteries on PBS, but really trippy if you have. ;)
Also, if the intersection of awkward, coming-of-age romance and kung-fu sounds appealing, you will probably like Scott Pilgrim. I'm a big fan of the comic upon which it's based.
