Ok, I know I've been posting a lot, but...

dude.

I mean...

dude.

Dare I hope that this movie will actually be as awesome as it deserves to be?

Totally. I have the date that "Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour" comes out in stores. It looks like he's stayed as true to the series as he can in a single movie.

If it is half as awesome as it looks I will be happy.

You know, the comics never did anything for me, but I find myself really, oddly excited about this movie. August is a long time away. :-/

If this doesn't earn more money than 'Kick-Ass', I will be very sad.

though i did not watch the trailer, i am so SICK of michael cera being michael cera.

i was all for him being on screen and not acting until i saw youth in revolt and was honestly offended that he chose to be in such a disgraceful film. after that, ive had trouble looking at him. i wouldnt go so far as to say ill never watch a movie with him in it, but the bitter taste of his choice to be in such a horrible movie certainly will make me think twice before seeing one of his films.

While I don't have the connection to Youth In Revolt that you do, I was kind of annoyed by his being cast as well. The trailer makes it looks like he's playing the same archetype he always (always, always, always) plays, which while superficially similar to the character from the comics isn't really the same, IMO.

That said, everything else about the movie, not least of which being faith in Edgar Wright as a director, has me hopeful despite being a big fan of the source material.

Also, my first thought on seeing this trailer was that they made a movie version of No More Heroes.
