Doctor Parnassus mini-review #2: Tom Waits plays the devil. This makes the movie worthwhile all by its self. I was so glad when I saw it was him in the credits, because I don't think I could deal with the idea of there being two people who sound like that.

Date: 2010-02-23 05:31 am (UTC)I got a lot out of it, and I think a lot of that is because I resonate so strongly with his repertoire of archetypes. I feel like this one was kind of an intellectual cousin of 'Baron Munchausen.'
