[livejournal.com profile] juldea knows me well. She also hates me. I know both of these to be true because she made sure that I knew about THIS.

Bonnaroo 2010. I'd never heard of it.

June 10-13.

Machester, TN.

Tix+fees are about $280, not counting travel or accommodations.

"But wait", you say, "Brad, you are a cheapskate. You hem and haw about paying $30 for a show when you could see j random punkband for $5. Why would you even consider dropping $500ish to go to a show?"

The answer is ZOMGLINEUP!!

TMBG, Tenacious D, GWAR, The Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon, Steve Martin (playing banjo, I assume), Regina Spektor, Dave Matthews (yes, I want to see them. shut up.), Les Claypool, Michael Franti... I think I'm going to start hyperventilating if I go on. Suffice it to say, that's just a small selection of the musical acts, plus film and comedy still TBA. (edit I just heard that Tori Amos has been added to the lineup, too)

After my last big project at work I promised myself I'd spend some of my vacation time on something epic, and this could be it. If there are enough New England people who might be crazy enough to do this with me, we could save on travel costs and increase fun by turning this into the road trip of doom. If you think you might be up for this, please respond with your level of interest and we can look at options for coordinating.

For those not in the area, lemme know if you think you might be there and we can coordinate meeting up.

Plus Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, Weezer, John Fogerty, John Prine, Dropkick Murphys, Blues Traveler, OK Go....

zomg, indeed.

Sadly, no "with money."

Does this constitute interest or simple acknowledgement-of-awesomeness? :)

The latter, sadly -- Origins is two weeks later, and my brother-in-law is getting married on July 4, and we're already reaching the limit of our travel/fun budget. :P

You should totally go, though. It will clearly be an amazing experience.

I've had reasonably good experiences with crazy roadtrips down by that way...

Should consider you potentially interested?

With a healthy dose of "That's a lot of time and money."

See above re: Origins.

I spent five years dating [livejournal.com profile] juldea, which is how I know [livejournal.com profile] red_ervish. Brad I know 'cause it's a small town up here.

And since we're playing LJ Six Degrees, I find it amusing that you know [livejournal.com profile] gamerchick.

It's true, though we have never actually met, despite an ongoing internet acquaintance lasting something like six years.

I have not exactly met her either, but she's a bandmate of a good friend.

Then...

>_>

<_<

...can we even be sure she exists?

*Dun dun duuuuuun!*

I mean, really. Gamer... chick? How likely is that?

(don't mind me, I'm feeling a bit loopy atm ;)

No, I've physically seen her, I've just never been properly introduced in person. :)

Wow, this is starting to hurt my brain. Obviously [livejournal.com profile] red_ervish is the center of the universe.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] juldea knew Ciole in college. Squnch.

Well, she *is* rumored to contain a black hole that might suck in all matter.

I figure four days with that many big names plus art and film is one of the few things I'd actually consider considering worth that kind of price.

I'm always up for a road trip with cool people— especially to a state to which I've never been. Manchester is also an easy drive to Nashville, Knoxville, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. :)

In an very sort of vague way I might kinda maybe be wanting to go. (i.e. if planning starts to happen, keep me on the list, but don't count me in the "minimum headcount to be plausible.)

I have no idea where I'll be or what my financial situation will be like at that point, but I am interested. (And if for some reason I'm home, that becomes a much shorter road trip for me.)

Whoa!

Sadly, my boss will be Not Amused if I take a vacation week in June. I might be able to swing a long weekend, though...

Huh. Could be really neat. I've wanted to go to a festival like SXSW or ACL for a while now, but have never sucked it up and said, "self, you're going to Austin in hot weather for a week." Not that TN in June is a selling point, though I guess it doesn't need to be.

On a scale of interest from 1 to 10, I think I'd put myself at 7, subject to change if more awesome artists are added.
