I hate insomnia. I have a conference call in less than 6 hours. And a crapton to do tomorrow. And I'm getting up at ass-o'clock Saturday morning to go to NYC with cool friends to see a great (so I'm told) play, where I will relax and have a good time if it friggin' kills me.

...and at this rate, it probably will.

I hate insomnia.

I've read (finished a book-- yay), forced myself to lie there, had a mug of hot (soy)milk, none of it is working tonight. In college for a while it was like this almost every night. Nearly drove me nuts, too. By figuring out better habits, diet, etc, it's a rare problem for me nowadays, but boy this is badly-timed. =:(

I hate insomnia.

Good luck getting some rest. What show are you coming to see?

Aw, I'm sorry. At least the clown didn't eat you.

...

When I can't sleep, I spend most of the night muttering to myself, "Can't sleep. Clown will eat me."

What play are you seeing today?

Insomnia does suck. How's your sleep hygiene? I've learned the hard way that reading books in bed doesn't tend to improve the problem.

So I'm not into the ambien and the like, but sometimes when I can't sleep it is because my brain is still working on too many things, eating up my CPU even if I don't know it. Melatonan works for me...it doesn't make you sleep, but it reminds you how it feels to be sleepy, if that makes sense.
