Aug. 7th, 2009 06:54 pmThere's been a lot in the news lately about some conservative groups organizing to bus people from out of state into "town hall" meetings to basically shout down other voices and make it look like "the people" are sharpening their pitchforks and lighting their torches should congress dare to reform health care, by "artificially inflating" their numbers, "rocking the boat" (ie interrupting and yelling out in the middle of the speech), etc and basically intimidating congresspeople.
Whether you're for reform or against it, if you're actually from the area and interested in representing for people that want to at least have some honest discourse instead of bullying tactics, please be aware that rep Nikki Tsongas will be speaking in Chelsford tomorrow morning. I'm flying out of town later that afternoon and don't know if I'll be able to make it, so I figured I'd at least pass it on to y'all.
What: Health Care Public Meeting with
Rep. Niki Tsongas
Where: Market Basket Grocery Store
288 Chelmsford Street
Chelmsford, MA 01824
When: Saturday, August 8th
10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
