To me, I was stuck by how universal images of change, war and destruction are because I was moved by it even though, to be honest, I don't really know the history that she was describing. And I wondered how being closer to the history would affect the message, and whether it would have the same or a different effect on someone from Russia as it seemed to have on the Ukranian audience.
