Hrmm... Michael Franti and Spearhead are playing in Lowell this Friday. The down-side: $38/ticket. Youch. On the one hand, I have a lot of respect for the man and his music, and I've been listening to him since high school, when I first heard Hole in The Bucket, which is still one of my favorite songs, and still hits me emotionally every time I hear it. But on the other hand... $38. I don't think I've ever paid that much for a show before.

Leaning toward no, but is anyone else interested and wanting to try and talk me out of it?

Edit: Oookay, getting back to work now, honest, but that last video led me to a couple of fan-made vids for another one of my favorite songs, the more recent "Bomb the World". Franti did two versions of the song and there are videos for each. Some of the images are disturbing, but they fit with the anti-war theme of the songs well.

Every time I eat or even think of red beans and rice, I immediately follow that up with the thought "...make everything nice."

Yeah, Michael Franti's pretty awesome.
