One sentance movie summaries

Really good movies can rarely be summarized, but movies good and bad alike can sometimes have the qualities that made them good or bad described in a sentance. Some examples --

Bulletproof Monk, which we had the misfortune to rent a while ago: You know a movie is bad when you find yourself saying things like "they made the nazis so two-dimensional!" about it.

Return of The King, which we just got back from: You know a 3.5 hour long movie's good when you leave it saying "Man, if only we'd gotten to see the extended version!" (note: Lizbeth and I both had this reaction)

I'm totally there with you about Return of the King. It was splendiferous, but, but, they left out SO much of the book! Must have extended version NOW!

BTW, do you know where I could get a hold of a copy of Punk Side Story? I have a friend who collects punk covers and has never heard it . . .

We're only going to be in the bay area for a bit, unfortunately. What are you doing New Year's Eve? We're going to be at an open-invitation party that vrelis is throwing and we'd love to see you then! It's about the only opportunity we're going to have to hang out with people other than my folks.
