Hehe... I recently participated in my first LARP (a Cthulu LARP at Origins, which I got into on a whim after no one showed up to run the Discworld LARP), and was handed a character who was Swedish. At which point I discovered I coudln't maintain a Swedish accent for more than about 5 seconds. So I kind of cobbled together something that was mostly German, with a bit of Norwegian thrown in. It would have been easier if I had known slightly less German, as my impulse was to throw in a few "Herrs" and "Guten nachts" for flavor, but I couldn't.
Oh yes, it went very well. I wasn't there for it, but I heard people telling me about one of the climactic scenes wherein he pulled off some awesome stuff production-wise. "He is such a fantastic showman" was the comment, I believe. =:)
