Re-posting for people who aren't on the bscflarp mailing list.

If you are in the Boston area, like theater-style larps and like to sing, then the only game I know of that combines the two is being re-run for the first time since I played in it about four years ago. It had its flaws, but it's a four-hour game with more complex, interconnecting plots than some weekend-long games I've played, and I was never bored because it's hard to do that when people are randomly bursting into song. This game is also the origin of The Legendary Golden Pants, so you even get to experience a piece of larp history! =;) It will be running April 26th from 4:30p-8:30p at Brandeis.

'Tis No Deceit to Deceive the Deceiver is a musical larp, set on a voyage
from England to America in a sort of steampunk Victorian setting. By an odd
coincidence, the new engine installed in the ship means the trip will take
precisely four hours to reach its destination. During that time, there will
be intrigue, scheming, romance, backstabbing, revelations, deceit, and
singing - lots of singing. Everyone in this game feels oddly compelled to
burst out into song, a la Buffy the Musical episode. Secrets will be
revealed, probably in song.

Some parts in game have more singing than others. You can request a part
that has less singing than others, but every part has a song. Songs will be
provided prior to game. This game has run once before and even the people
that were nervous about singing got into it.

Don't be shy now. Kreg likes reading long rambling stuff. Eric, on
the other hand, will laugh and burn your app if you're too long, then
cast you according to the signs he reads in the ashes. Choose
wisely.

I am so annoyed I am missing this AGAIN. I can't make a third LARPing trip in less than a month, on top of a business trip next week. Waaaah!
