Aaaaanyway, there are a couple of things I've been talking about doing for ages and have never gotten around to. Well, ok, there're probably more, but two come to mind at the moment: A britcom party and a karaoke party for beta testing the setup I've been developing off-and-on for the last yearish.

After being prodded by Emma and others, I propose doing something about this. The next weekend I am free is Sunday, March 15th (edit: Corrected date). I propose britcom in the afternoon, then karaoke until it's too late to do karaoke and then perhaps some other media-ish thing thereafter.

...actually, it occurs to me that my room is about as big as the living room at skullcrusher, so we could even do both at once if enough people were interested.

So, Boston people:
- Are you free on 4/15?
- Afternoon? Evening? Both? If only evening, then Friday, 3/13 is also an option, and one that would allow us to go later.
- Primarily interested in Karaoke, Britcom or both? Feelings re: overlapping the two?
- Re Britcoms, there has been at least one vote for Black Adder. I am always up for inflicting Green Wing or The Mighty Boosh on people, and I also have Spaced (which is equally great, but I've been watching it a lot lately), Black Books, Darkplace, Fry and Laurie, and others.

3/15, right? I would certainly be interested but I believe there's a huge "Making PMRP Official and Non-Profit" meeting. Which would be sad especially since I know this was something derspatchel and audioboy and I have been gleefully discussing for a while on our own independently.

And did I mention Dr. Horrible Karaoke?

I'd be interested in either date, but I'm not sure I commit to either, yet. More interested in BritCom than Karoke. I've seen the first ep of green wing 3 times now; I'm ready to see more of the series. Black Books is next on my list of those, and I know nothing of The Mighty Boosh.

Define what you mean by afternoon. Are we talking 2pm or 5pm or 7pm?

I am definitely free on the 15th after 6, and might be free earlier than that depending on how my D&D group ends up scheduling its meetings for March. Friday the 13th is also a possibility unless I have people coming in from out of town; I'll let you know.

I like both of the options for evening activities, though I guess I'm getting in quite a bit of Britcom already and no karaoke, so logic dictates I should go for singing!

Pretty much the only stuff on your list of Britcoms that I've seen is the stuff you've shown me (except for a very small amount of Fry & Laurie I've seen on my own), so I have no opinion on which to base decisions other than the things you have already deemed you are showing me, which is Black Books and Green Wing.

i'm currently free but may be planning my own thing for that date, depending on my peeps prefs. keep me in the loop! also, britcom and karaoke at the same time sounds like oodles of fun, tho may present some difficult choices! maybe you could even have different shows running in different rooms (for the non-UK region discs)...

Oh, whoops, forgot to actually comment on this. Um, I tentatively vote for 3/13 because I have game more or less all day on 3/15. Although depending on how much homework I have, I may have to skip it entirely because I already have 3 social obligations that weekend.

So, my vote is really, "Please move to a different weekend." ;^)
