What fascinates me most, perhaps, is that after over 8 years of egregious media abuse by the Republican party in general, you find this sort of behavior to be, what, unexpected? <:D
Also, on a side note (since we argued about it before) I'm more sold on Obama now; I'm certainly still too cynical to believe in the "Change [we] can believe in," but he's a phenomenal speaker, and as Becky points out, we need somebody who can talk us through the coming years, which (no matter who's in charge) are going to be pretty unpleasant on all fronts, from extricating ourselves from Iraq to cobbling back together something that at least looks like a healthy, functioning economy. And (perhaps most suited to his skill set) finally talking the public down from their fear of nuclear energy is going to be essential, so . . . yeah, anyway, point is I think he's probably the right candidate to have on the ballot, though I still maintain my dislike for visionaries.
Thank you so much for posting this. I've been rather furious since hearing Palin's speech last night (wtf, lying about Obama's experience; just wtf), and I desperately needed to be able to laugh at the absurdity of politics. Clearly, I need to start watching the Daily Show again.
In the interest of fairness, I'll also include factcheck.org's take on Obama's big DNC speech, but really it doesn't hold a candle to Palin's. Can't wait to see them take that one apart.
