Sep. 3rd, 2008 11:52 pmI was looking forward to Palin's speech, I really was. I liked the speech she gave when she was first selected. I expected to disagree with her policies, but like the way she comported herself and I genuinely wanted to hear what she had to say.
Geez, what a bitter, deceptive and arrogant (oh wait, I though Obama was the arrogant one) tirade. Blech. I am so glad
lediva had also just heard it and was there for mutual ventage, and that housemates were watching the Daily Show and Colbert Report when I got home. I've almost stopped seething.
...almost.
As a bonus, though, the Daily Show did an absolutely brilliant dissections of Republican hypocrisy around their treatment of issues like experience, gender and a slew of others wrt Palin vs Obama and/or Clinton. I'd love to link to it, but it seems that comedycentral.com hates the Linux version of Flash. Look it up if you missed it, though. Well, well worth it.
Ok, gotta stop posting. The bile is rising again.

Date: 2008-09-05 04:14 am (UTC)I do think Palin nailed her speech, in a sort of "oh my god how much do you suck" sort of way.
The commentary after her speech was far more annoying than the speech itself, but that was true of all the DNC speeches for which I saw commentary too.
