Some of you may recall the giant blue bean bag in Sequoia and I's place. Sadly, the old thing has been peed upon by the cats too many times and, even after I hosed it down, smells... bad. It's currently sitting on the porch awaiting trash day. If someone can provide me with a sufficiently simple technique for getting bad smells out of vinyl, I might have space for it in my room. Anyone have ideas?

Dilute ammonia/water wash?

I was going to suggest a vinegar dilution, which has essentially the same effect.

There's also a product called "Nature's Miracle" which does a fantastic job, if you can find it at a pet store in your area.

When all else fails use fire.

I have fought so many losing battles against cat pee... The closest I've ever gotten is Nature's Miracle and a closet, but that seriously takes a few months to fully work. (Soak bean bag in Nature's Miracle. Wrap in plastic bag. Put in closet to wait until fully dry, and yes you're hindering that process. Gives the enzymes more time to work. Eventually remove, launder, and you might have a clean bean bag.)
