What goes around comes around
Jan. 15th, 2006 09:01 pmAfter my entry a few days ago about Zel's pop-cultural quirks, I figure it's only fair that I share my own when they arise:
We were watching an episode of Spaced that involved a parody of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I've never seen that movie because I don't deal well with the "heavy drama" genre of films that involve people doing bad things to one another a lot. Anyway, Zel started to explain what they were doing when...
Me: I know what it is.
Zel: You do? How? That's exactly the kind of movie I'd have to work for months to get you to see!
Me: Well, yeah, but it's kind of iconic by now. The big, silent indian-looking guy and all that. I just recognize it. Cultural osmosis.
Zel: You saw this on the Simpsons, didn't you?
Me: Umm... yes.
Hehe.
