Dang. System Shock 2 is almost 14 years old, and I haven't played it in about that long. The graphics are dated, almost comical by today's standards... and yet it still has me jumping at stuff within minutes of the game-proper (after character creation) beginning. It's all about atmosphere, kids.
Also, gog.com has it for $5. You have no excuse.

I've been wondering about that game. I've heard about it for years. Guess I'll take this as a recommendation!

I've been getting tons of games off of GoG lately. Right now I am DEEP into Planescape: Torment.

Be well.

Yepyep. And a few of the people involved in that are still around in the LARP community, and you've probably met them. So you should have even more reason to play their creations and support their past (and current, and future...) efforts.

There's actually updated texture packs for the game that bring it up to (relatively) modern graphics standards.
