...and speaking of birthdays, I was thinking about doing something for mine. Specifically, I've been thinking about taking a cue from Jonathan Kindness and renting out the little theater at the Somerville for a movie showing, and I want to do a quick poll to check on interest in a couple of things I'm considering:

Option 1: Tripod vs The Dragon. Some of you may recall that two birthdays ago I hosted a viewing of this, one of my favorite shows-not-enough-people-have-seen, best described as a Dungeons and Dragons Folk Opera. And yet I keep running into people in my friends circle who have not seen it, and who I think would really like it. Hell, half of my own band, which covers a song from it, hasn't seen it. So, I'm thinking of doing it again, this time on the big screen.

Option 2: The Room and/or Trapped in the Closet. A group of friends in a theater, with a post-party for decompression and WTFery, is pretty much the ideal setting for these. I've been threatening to do this for ages, maybe now's the time?

So, please answer the following for each (note that doing both is not out of the question):
1. Would you be interested?
2. Have you already seen it?

I vote for both, all of 'em on the big screen!

I haven't seen either. Sounds like fun!

My vote falls more strongly on the side of seeing TvtD again.

Wait is it your birthday?! Happy birthday! Eat a cake.
I'd recommend TvtD so that people who haven't seen it can, I can't be there but thankfully someone has been kind enough to play through most (all?) of the songs from it because they/it are awesome.

This sounds like fun! I'd potentially be interested in either, depending on scheduling of course, but would prefer option 1 over option 2.

I give a nod to idea #1.

The only one of these I know anything about is The Room, which I saw a trailer for once. Would be happy to see any of these.

If you do do this, I'd be curious how much it ends up costing.

I haven't seen any of these. The first option sounds more interesting.

I have seen Tripod ("THE DAAAAAWWWWWWN OF TIIIIIIIIME!") and The Room, but I don't mind watching either of them again, especially if it's with a crowd of fun people! So, yes, there is potential interest in any of the above.

However, since I often work on the weekends, you should make my preferences a lower priority.

Option 1 (Tripod): I'd be interested, and don't think I've seen it.

Option 2: Meh. Probably uninterested.

I have more interest in option 1, but I'm not sure how the monkey will feel about sitting through a movie, so take my vote with a grain of salt.

I would be happy to see Option 1 again. Once per year is certainly not enough to get tired of seeing that funness. :)
If Option 2, I would still be interested, and haven't seen either, though have certainly had Trapped way more um. I can't say promoted to me... Uh... well, I'm interested based on the known degree of WTFery.
