Work let me borrow a laptop, thus allowing me to fullfill my lifelong ambition of coding at Denny's.

Laptops....

You know... I bought my laptop 3 years ago thinking... "yeah, I'll go out into the woods and program or something... with squirrels and such." It never happened... it's a fantasy and nothing more.

Then I bought wireless ethernet and figured "hey, I'll sit on the back deck and meld in with nature... while programming." It just doesn't happen... I should try again.

Right now, I'm even using my laptop plugged into a KVM...

I was afraid it would be like that for me, but I'm actually getting a decent amount of mileage out of it. If nothing else it's very nice to have the same machine at work and at home. The portability is worth it whether I actually work outside or not.
