One of my favorite musicians, Jason Webley, is going to be taking a "very long break" from touring at the end of this year (guess I can't blame him-- dude's been at this for over a decade). In the intervening time, he's doing a massive tour, "playing just about everywhere I've ever played before on this beautiful planet one last time".

Even if his recorded music doesn't do much for you, everyone should see one of his live shows once. There's a ton of energy, lots of audience participation, and some swell people.

For Boston people, he'll be playing at Cafe 939 in Boston next Saturday, May 14th. For everyone else, check his tour schedule (note: the tour has already started-- apologies if I posted this too late for your neck of the woods).

I was bummed to miss his SFBA shows since his email list indicated that he'd stop touring for a while, but it seems likely I'll have a chance to catch him in Europe if he stops in Amsterdam (does this count as a humble brag?). Oddly, I still haven't seen one of his live shows since Burning Man 2006, unless you count Evelyn Evelyn last year (but I imagine the energy is way different).

:D

This sounds very neat and I will consider, but shows are so much better with company. Are you going? Is anyone else I know going?

I will be there, and probably several others, though I couldn't say exactly who among them you would know. It'll be fun times regardless! :)
