Story-telling party?

I am wondering about having a story-telling party.

This would be a party where people come with a story to tell. I'm thinking 5-10 minutes long each, though really longer would be fine as long as it stays interesting. I'm thinking (mostly-)true stories, told a la The Moth, but I know a fair number of writers, and hey, if someone wanted to write a short fictional story, or even bring a favorite to read, hey, why not?

Anyway, some of my favorite party moments have been those late-night times when people are just sitting around swapping stories, and I know that some of you have some great ones, so...

As for dates, the next weekend date I'm free is June 4th or 6th, and I'm thinking about grabbing one of those. If you have a pref, say so in comments.

Not really. I have *SERIOUS* public speaking phobias, that don't go away in game - that's a lot of why I tend to play characters that are far from the center of attention.

I can get past them sometimes - it's utterly random as to when and I have no idea of how, but once in a while I have no problem being loud and in the spotlight. But 9 times out of 10 it just.... I can't do it.
