This is the kind of spam that I absolutely do not understand. I mean, I understand about inserting random words at the beginning or end to try and fool filters, but today I got this:

Hellwuo d9eear homdye ow+ner,

Great. So now it looks like script kiddies want to help me refinance my house. Seriously, even if I was the kind of person who would reply to spam, who are these people expecting to take this seriously?? Maybe they're counting on the sympathy of those who assume it's a missive from the Society of Epileptic Real-estate Agents (SERA) and envision some poor dedicated soul trying, despite the spasms, to tell the world about lower mortgage rates.

Things don't make sense.

I have for a long time had an image in my head of what 1337 would sound like as a spoken language. It involves a lot of twitching and beeping. Imagining a loan officer at a bank offering to refinance stuff speaking this way is a really fantastic experience. My brain is glittering with amusement.

I think I am too tired to be allowed to write LJ comments right now, the above now looks nigh incoherent... *le sigh*

My sleep-dep caffiene-addled coworkers are all Japanese, so their mutterings are all bizarre local dialect versions of "Nan da naaaaaa.... Mendokusai da na....." Which isn't quite the same. *grin*
