For anyone on my flist who is in the Boston area and larps or is interested in trying, consider the following missive from emp42ress:
Vestival of LARP at Brandeis (4/16-18) still needs more players. Three of our games (Welcome to Scearbridge, City Council of Hound's Teeth, and 10-Bad LARPs C-Section) are running there. It's free, it's relatively local to most of you, and it's easy to come for one or two games if you can't make the whole weekend. If you've been thinking about trying out a Theater style LARP event at some point, this is a great place to start. If you've been playing for years, and haven't been yet, you're missing out.
I've played in an embarrassingly-high percentage of the games at this year's con, including Scearbridge and Hound's Teeth, and I can vouch for there being a lot of good games that still have room, including ones that are good for first-timers. Come play make-believe with us!
