May. 19th, 2009 11:35 pmThis is kind of a big day for me. Tonight most of the Second Shift cast got together and did our first readthrough/rehearsal of our season (and, for now, series) finale. For now I'll just say "wow". Our writers are awesome. It's going to be a long time until anyone hears it (we have a backlog of 6 episodes before it in the post-production queue), but I think it is shaping up to be a fitting resolution to (most of) our story.
I am just shy of my 3rd anniversary working on this show and the end of it is in sight (as an illustrative side-note, I tried to figure out the exact date that I started by searching for my first 2s-related email, but gmail just said "...of thousands" and wouldn't let me skip to the end there were so many of them). That's pretty amazing. I'm really proud of what we've created so far and really excited about completing the remainder of the season, even though realistically there's probably another year's worth of spare-time post-production work to be done.
Anyway, have to go to bed now, but good stuff. I look forward to kicking back and listening to the whole series from beginning to end some day.
