Oral arguments on prop8 in the CA supreme court are being streamed live at eqca.com. Listening at work. One of the justices just put to Ken Star basically the solution I've been wanting (get the state out of the marriage business entirely, give everyone who wants them civil unions and leave marriage a purely religious ceremony, to be defined by the churches performing the ceremonies). Not expecting it to happen or anything, it was just a hypothetical being put forward, but I do feel... nicely validated.
