Useful fact-checking feeds
Sep. 15th, 2008 09:30 pmJust wanted to point out that several of my favorite political factcheck sites have rss feeds and are now syndicated on lj. I want to re-iterate, since I know not everyone on my flist leans the same way politically, that these are, or at least seem to me to be, genuinely nonpartisan sites that take both parties to task when they bend (or break) the truth. Also, a warning: if you add all of these you'll probably be inundated:
fact_check_feed (the main factcheck.org feed)
wirefactcheck (the "wire" feed of shorter stories, updated more frequently)
politifactartcl (politifact articles)
politifacts (politifact "truth-o-meter" assessments of specific statements)
If anyone can demonstrate that these sites aren't on the level, please say so, but until and unless that happens I wish everyone read them, so we can at least all make whatever decisions we're going to with a minimal amount of bovine excrement cluttering things up.
