Happens a lot. More than once the fire department has been called in to get the kid out when the kid gets stuck.

I think newer ones have smaller holes and one way baffles to keep it from happening.

Yeah, it made me sad that the mom's main thing seemed to be embarrassment and getting out of there asap, I'm choosing not to think of what happened after they left, or, if I must, to assume that there was a hug and constructive conversation about why we don't climb into vending machines.
