I was a little surprised to see you say it looked like Burlington's tickets were just at the door -- I mean they are available at the door, and it would probably be fine to do it that way, but they are also available online, which would be more convenient for anyone who wanted to pay by credit card.
So I went to the Facebook event and saw that the producer who created it failed to include any kind of ticketing information whatsoever -- prices, phone number, Burlington's website, anything. This kind of internet incompetence is so typical of suburban community theatre that all I can do is roll my eyes.
Don't be put off by the fact that the site looks like the last bastion of Geocities, it is a real live website, I promise. And the people at Burlington understand theatre just fine, it's just the internet that defeats them. And the suburban theatres wonder why they have such trouble getting Butts In Seats. *eyeroll*
