lightcastle linked to a story about a 10 year old in Arkansas refusing to recite the pledge of allegiance on the grounds that we are not, in fact, "with liberty and justice for all" (warning: I am not responsible for injuries due to banging one's head on the desk after reading some of the comments attached to said article). This got me thinking: may I propose a minor revision?
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands: one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
Short notice, I know, but lediva has declared this Saturday at BCOS, from 11am-ish until people go away, to be the *mumble*'th annual ROCKSGIVING celebration. It will involve food. It will involve Rock Band. What else will involve? That depends on whether or not you show up and what you do/bring. Msg me if you don't know where we're at.
